I have been tagged...

1. My uncle once: had a barn with actual animals, a store in the front of his house, and a baseball field near the barn, where he sold pink candy popcorn
2. Never in my life: did I expect to live in Germany!
3. When I was five: I was super-blonde and very tan (in the summer - it's the native Indian genes inherited through my dad)
4. High School was: okay...had some good times, had some rough times. Got teased a lot, but survived. Graduated 5 in a class of 100...guess my grades were okay!
5. My parents are: still living, one in Canada, one in Maine. They get by, and are friends - took a long time for this to happen.
6. I once met: The band, The Black Crowes. In Boston. On their bus. Got free tickets to see them and ZZ Top in Worcester, MA. LONG CRAZY night!
7. There’s this girl I know who: got her bike stolen from the basement, and is upset...but it's her fault for leaving the basement door open every day...only she doesn't see this!
8. Once, at a bar: I drank a WALL at O'Malley's....The "wall" was a list of 7 drinks - bottled beer, tap beer, and a lot of mixed drinks from shots to long-island iced teas....NOT a good thing, but worse when you do it twice in a night!
9. Last night: I read the Sunday paper, went to bed, watched American Idol's "kick 'em off show" and read the DaVinci Code a bit.
10. Next time I go to church: I'll try not to obsess about the crooked cross on the wall (it REALLY is crooked, ask Christy!)
11. When I turn my head left: I see snow falling (AGAIN!) outside my window, which looks out on Germany, the red-orange scalloped-tiled roofs of the German buildings across the street.
12. When I turn my head right: I see the two perptually messy bookcases that seem to be the gathering grounds for all things that don't have a home...I also see the stark white walls with the black frames holding black and white pictures of Hannah - "playing" the trumpet at 6 weeks old, her feet with mine, her hands with Daddy's, and the progression of 9 pictures from pout to smile!
13. How many days until my birthday?: 276....if I calculated it right. My b-day is December 7th (Suzanne, yours, as of today, 3/6/06, is 248, lol)
14. If I was a character written by Shakespeare I’d be: the crazy lady who walks around saying "out, damned spot, out I say!". Don't remember her name, but I do remember that line!
15. By this time next year: I'll be in Ft. Riley, hopefully in a nice house, with a SCRAPBOOKING area.
16. A better name for me would be: Jack...you know, as in Jack of all trades, master of none! Rumor has it that I was supposed to be a boy and would have been named George....
17. I have a hard time understanding: why people just don't follow the rules, especially when driving!
18. If I ever go back to school I: think I might become an ultrasound technician. After having kids, I don't think I can ever be a music teacher!
19. You know I like you if: I talk to you...I like most everyone, but those few that I can't stand, I just don't talk to!
20. If I won an award, the first person I’d thank would be: God...then my husband and kids.
21. Take my advice: Dark chocolate really DOES have medicinal value. Ask Scott.
22. My ideal breakfast is: pancakes, bacon, coffee, eggs, a newspaper, and an hour of silence.
23. If you visit my hometown: don't blink, you might miss it!
24. Why won’t someone: stop the insanity???!!!???
25. If you spend the night at my house: We'll have to scrapbook all night long, with jello popcorn, "trash" and lots of great conversation.
26. I’d stop my wedding: only in a dream - real life, I wouldn't change a thing.
27. The world could do without: a lot of stuff, too much to mention.
28. I’d rather lick the belly of a cockroach than: lick the belly of a snake...at least the cockroach is slightly off the ground, lol!
29. Paper clips are more useful than: staples
30. If I do anything well, it is: complain
31. And by the way: I'm tired...this took longer than expected (between feeding kids, changing diapers, rescuing balls and other toys from under the cabinet and playpen, etc, etc)
Now I am tagging my sister SUSAN - it'll give you something to blog about, lol!
