Without my help....

Hannah is teaching herself to write. She has always been precocious when it came to things like drawing, writing and coloring. She taught herself how to write her capital letters.

Well, yesterday, she started writing color names. She would use her crayons and write the names down based on what she saw. At first, she would write them in all caps...then she decided to learn how to write the lower case letters. Without my help, mind you. I've tried to help her before and she would refuse to do it at all. So I just let her go at her own pace. The only letter she asked for help on was "r"...I showed her once, helped her once, and off she went on her own. She hasn't tried N or M yet, and I'm sure they'll give her pause...but like everything else, she'll figure it out in her own way on her own schedule.

Like the rainbow at the top of the page, my daughter is a colorful character, full of life and charm!
