Another day in paradise....

No, she's NOT being seductive or cute and blowing a kiss. Hannah learned to WHISTLE today! She was SO proud of herself, but couldn't quite grasp that if you SMILE, you can't whistle! I keep telling her to practice it...she's so thrilled to be able to do this!

And Scotty...well, let's just say that he's getting in touch with his feminine side. Yes, he'swearing fairy wings and waving a magic wand...but notice, just notice that he's got SPIDERMAN on his overalls. Yup...he's all boy, even when he's playing with the girls.
Life in MY paradise - what's got YOU smiling today????

Here from Michele.
PhotoFriday's topic was adolescence and it made me stop and remember a lot of bits and pieces.
I'm happy that my daughter and I survived intact (she just turned 20) and came out the other end as close friends.

It's confirmed. You have two of the world's cutest kids! And one whistles as well!

Thanks for visiting today.

Cute pics of the kiddies. I love the picture of scotty, because even though he has the fairy wand, he's still a boy through and through. My daughter likes to play with soccer balls and basketballs but you can tell she's a girl because after she's done playing with then, she'll give them a kiss, a hug and put them down to "sleep." LOL!

Awww... Cute kids! Michele sent me today.

What's got me smiling today? Everything pretty much. People say I need to be stopped, actually. I smile too much these days, and am madly in love with my boyfriend who treats me like his princess.

I've got it good...

I've always wanted to whistle. My dad would not wear his false teeth because he said he couldn't whistle with them in...and he loved to whistle!

Ha! My son insisted on buying his own "magic" wand and foam crown when he was picking out a set for his sister at the craft store. The cashier rang up the wands and handed them both to my daughter. My son pouted a little and said "Hey, the white one is mine!" The cashier looked stunned and flustered. Umm, lady, he's three and he plans on using it to turn us all into frogs. Chill. ;)

Anyway, I can so relate. Got to love little boys.

Here from Michele again.
I read on down about your garden party and then on to your piece about Bayreuth.
Do they have any posters or announcements of this summer's upcoming Wagner festival?
My brother is a Helden Tenor and has performed the lead role in Tannhauser, there at the Bayreuth festival the last two years. He will be the lead in the new Ring Cycle that debuts this summer. He has sent pictures and it is a very beautiful opera house.
Hopefully some summer my daughter and I can go. I've heard that people put their names on a list for tickets and the wait can be up to ten years.
My brother's name is Stephen Gould.

Scotty reminds me of me! I was such a tomboy, my mum was desperate to make me understand i was a little girl and meant to behave as such!
