one of those days....

ugh.

School picture day. Hannah wakes up with SOMETHING in her hair. What is it? It's greasy but it smells nice...what could it POSSIBLY be? She has no clue. Of course, I have to take her into the shower...but it didn't come off very well - so, pictures with greasy hair. Luckily, it's mostly on the crown...sigh.

Oh...we figured out WHAT it was - lip balm. Strawberry kiwi, to be exact. You can see from the stick how it was PERFECTLY "cut off" using the cover. So who did it? Did the leprechauns come and do it in the middle of the night? The bad fairies (reference to webkinz for those who might know!)? I haven't gotten the truth yet.

So...we rush through the morning because we had to have an unexpected shower. I come upstairs and discover that the garbage bag is tipped over. You see...we don't have any room in the teeny-tiny kitchen for a garbage can, so we have a small one under the sink. Of course, it fills up quickly, but the garbage bag is usually only half-full when we have to take it out, so we put it in a corner for the day to keep filling. Unfortunately, the trash did not grow legs and make it outside by itself last night (I was out...'nuff said), and the whirlwind that is the boy ran past it and sent it tumbling. This in itself is not unusual (it's become a fact of life in this small home), nor is it a terrible occurence...BUT...there was a bottle of molasses in it...and it hit "just right" and spilled...all over the floor. A nice textured linoleum. I have mopped it three times now. Still sticky.

Managed to get Hannah out to the bus on time...even with a thunderstorm outside. But as I came back in, I realized two things: I didn't send her photo envelope with her (it was on the table), and I didn't have the snack for her class (each family provides one snack a month for the entire class). So I had to make a trip to the store to get "something healthy"....ugh. I got chocolate pudding. It's healthy, right???? It's made with milk, so that counts, right? Well, that's what they're getting. There are kids in her class with nut allergies, so it's tough. They also want "individual servings", so buying a container of goldfish would have required portioning out...

After getting pudding, I had to run up to her school to drop off the pudding, photo money, AND the necklace she wanted to wear but forgot. sigh.

Not a good start at all. I'm praying for a better day...

But I have to strip Hannah's bed to get the stuff she had in her hair off the pillows and sheets...and I have to do the dishes (which weren't done last night - just piled up in a sink), and finish up little bits and pieces of a project I need for this weekend. I'm just beat...and it's only 9:00 a.m.!

once again, praying for a better day.....

ahh fun times! Yesterday Jack spilled mint green (wall) paint on the playroom carpet. To say I was ticked is putting it lightly! I was mad not so much as him, but at Chad for not taking it downstairs like I told him to do AFTER he finished paiting the playroom (back when I was in I think my 1st or early of 2nd trimester!) I called him and chewed him out big time (he's in school this week so he's not even home which is good for his well being actually! LOL). Don't you just LOooooove these sort of days?!

That sounds like a sticky situation you have there! Sometimes there is so much to do it's difficult to know where to start adn I cna imagine the molasses did not help at all! I hope your day gets better, adn as far as I'm concerned, chocolate pudding is VERY healthy!
