It's definitely a God-thing...

you know what I mean...when everything just works out the way it should, without planning or intervention on your part.

It started when I saw this amazing stamp set over at Poetic Artistry and I headed over to Verve Visual to order them. What luck...15% off! Of course, they were only on pre-order, having not been released to the general public. But I didn't mind.

A few days ago, my friend Sherry called and asked if we could make cards. I'm always up for a day of stamping/card making with Sherry because she is such a wonderful person, so soft-spoken but godly in a way that I truly adore. She always has the most wonderful, uplifting things to say and she really makes you feel appreciated. She's the leader of our Women's Ministry Team, one of the advisors of our MOPS group, and she co-leads our "other Tuesday" bible study, so I connect with her on a regular basis.

Imagine my excitement when that stamp set showed up in my mailbox today. Sherry had called and said she'd be over around 1:00 p.m. This was GREAT! I had this new set I KNEW she would want to use. When she arrived, I pulled out the stuff I thought she'd like (as far as cardstock, etc.). We decided to go with brown as the main color, with the cards being green, white and blue. I set about creating a quick design, something that we could use to crank out 30 cards quite easily. It all came about quite quickly. I wanted to embellish with a bit of ribbon. Imagine my surprise when I discovered I had the perfect ribbon (in green and brown AND blue and brown). It was so a God-thing....

I ended up making a few for myself, with just some simple brown ribbon....but here's the finished product:
