When it Rains, it Pours....

It's raining out. Started last night around 7 or so...on and off...mostly on. Rained hard from 11 until about 4. How do I know this? I was up.

Why? Like the title says...it POURS.

Scotty had a stomach bug last Thursday. Scott started it last night. I can NOT be in the vicinity when he's getting sick...I'll end up joining him if I stay. Sad, but true. So I moved out onto the couch. And the thunderstorms started shortly afterward. I had to close all the blinds...the lightning was that intense. I kept checking on Scott to be sure he was okay and didn't need anything.

Then, around 2:00, just as I started dozing, Hannah came up. The storms woke her up. Her eye was bothering her too. She had said earlier in the night that it felt like she had a bruise on her eyelid. When she came up, her eye was all swollen and crusty. Great. I knew I'd be taking her to the post hospital in the morning. I sent her back downstairs after a little cuddling and a check with the Weather Channel™ to see how long before the thunder ended. It was closer to 3:00 a.m. now. Scott got sick again. Ours is not a large house, so I could hear him....sigh. Started dozing around 3:30 a.m.

Around 4:00 a.m., my cell phone battery low signal rang...had to go find it and plug it in. Got back onto the couch. 4:30 a.m., Scotty woke up with a bad dream. Calmed him down, turned his music on...it doesn't work. Is it the CD, or is it the player? Who knows? I told him to sing to himself. I was BEAT....fell asleep around 5:00 a.m. Hannah came upstairs around 6:00 saying her eye still hurt.

So, if you count that, I've had about an hour of sleep...I have one kid with pink eye, one just starting to feel better after several days of illness...an adult who always seems to get the absolute worst of every illness that comes through here. And me. Tired. but not sick yet. So, if you're the praying kind, keep me in your prayers that I will NOT get sick. Scott has ABLT this week, so he is supposed to be gone for several days. I'm supposed to have a meeting tomorrow evening, and I start my photography classes on Thursday. Pray that I don't get sick...please.

Hey Linda, Thanks for the compliment. Everyone looks great with a tan! :) But I have lost over 30 lbs since the fall and still working on it. :) I'll post the recipe for the trifle. It's Pampered Chef. Did I tell you I became a consultant?

OK, so I tried to leave a comment on myspace, but your site is cranky with me and wouldn't let me the first time I tried, so I came here. First, I am sooooo sorry your family is sick. How exhausting, and I will pray fo ryou. Second, your comment was beautiful, and I hope people read it. My comments to my blog are blogs in themselves. YOu may use my blog for anything you want. You don't even have to give me credit. It's all for HIM.
