Christmas Miracles...

Many of you may remember me asking for prayers for a young man named Jared. A friend of mine from Pittsburgh had asked for prayers for this young man who lost his memory for no apparent reason. I also know that a lot of you asked for updates, but I had nothing to share. Well...now I do!

Lori writes:

Okay, are you ready for a Christmas miracle and an answer to so many prayers? Jared has been home from the hospital for almost 2 weeks, but nothing had changed. The doctors simply sent him home because there was nothing else to do with his case. They had performed every test they could and found no reason for his loss of memory.
We saw Jared's uncle this evening and he told us that Jared woke up this morning, Saturday Dec. 20, and his memory had returned intact! He even picked up his baritone and played his entire half-time show from memory. Isn't this a wonderful example of the power of prayer?
I want to thank everyone who read this blog and said a prayer for Jared and his family!!! You all are blessings in your own right to reach out to someone you don't know and will probably never meet. We all have so much more to celebrate this Christmas, the gift of a memory!

Lori then sent a second email:

I will let you know a little more about the story. We saw Jared's Uncle Dave tonight at the laser show at our church. I was sitting at the opposite end of the pew from Brian when he was speaking with Dave but I immediately saw tears come to Brian's eyes and he hugged Dave and they were both smiling from ear to ear. I could tell what was said but asked Brian for a quick confirmation before I told the others from our congregation seated around me.
Jared awoke this morning and had fully regained his memory! He also told his parents how long he had been in the hospital and what he had been through. As if he needed to demonstrate more, he picked up his baritone and played his entire high school football half-time show from memory. We can't wait to see him and give him a hug. I have to tell you that he was at church last Sunday and it was so sad. He acted so overwhelmed and detached from everything. He was not at all the young man we have known for so long. His eyes seemed to dart all around the room looking for something familiar but he simply couldn't find anything or anyone he knew.
He actually acted like someone with autism. This news is truly a miracle!
Thank you so much for getting this prayer out to so many people. This is such a wonderful testimony of the power of prayer and the merciful love of Our Father. I also cannot believe the example this has given to Ryan of what can be done through prayer. What a truly amazing Christmas miracle.

I don't know about you, but this is probably the best gift anyone can receive...a true Christmas miracle. God is AWESOME!!!
