Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside my window - I am hearing construction...again. Don't know if you remember my complaints about the construction when we lived in Kansas...so far, it's not too bad, they are working on creating a road behind my house, for the new phase of our subdivision.
I am thinking - I will be really sad when they start building homes on that street behind us. We've had undeveloped land there for a year. Trees, wildlife, and no one else's back yard right there.
I am thankful for - not having to volunteer in Scotty's class this morning. My left leg hurts, and standing makes it worse, so I needed a break!
From the kitchen - not a clue. It's not a "rush" day today, so I will think about what I can make.
I am wearing - jeans and a sweatshirt. Good "warm" clothing for our chilly, cloudy day
I am creating - yet another hooded baby towel, and a valentine box for Scotty's class.
I am going - to watch the 6th Harry Potter movie. I've had it since it came out but haven't had a chance to watch it.
I am reading - the same books as last week. I haven't had a chance to get moving on them more.
I am hoping - to get to meet yet another cousin I found on Facebook. She lives just over an hour away from me, and I'm excited about meeting her!
I am hearing - the construction that I mentioned above
Around the house... - bathrooms need to be cleaned, the lower level needs to be swept, vacuumed and floors washed....
One of my favorite things - listening to Hannah practice her piano. She's only had 3 lessons, but so far, so good!
A few plans for the rest of the week: Rehearsal tomorrow night, my first piano lesson on Thursday, and a birthday party at Celebrations Skating Rink on Saturday.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

Haha...when I read the first line about hearing construction, Kansas was EXACTLY what I thought of! :)

"The first time I got pregnant, I had a miscarriage early on. Because of problems I'd had getting pregnant, I bought a book (Taking Charge of your Fertility). I got pregnant 3 months later...and I demanded a thyroid panel. Why? Because in that book, they mentioned 20 symptoms of hypothyroidism. I had 18...SOLID, consistent symptoms. My doctor called me 2 days later to tell me my "hunch" was right. I've been on thyroid meds since then (2000). They speculate that I lost my first baby because of they hypothyroidism.

Good for you for taking care of it. It MAY go away after pregnancy...I've seen it happen with a few of my friends."

Wow, I am glad you got your dr. to check on that. Sounds like you did the right thing! I am sorry you had a miscarriage as well. They think that is why I lost mine as well. Yes, I have heard of it going away, but it runs very heavily in my family, so I am not going to count on it. It will probably be something I will always have.. I guess time will tell.
