In Like A Lion...

And I'm hoping out like a lamb.

Bamberg is in a valley....therefore, we get very little snow, usually. The average yearly snowfall is no more than 15 inches total. So far this year, every time it snowed, it rained almost immediately afterwards, so the snow would be gone. This is not to say that we didn't get COLD temperatures. We did. It got pretty cold, with biting winds, and it was always pretty dreary and gray. We were always thankful for a sunny day, even if it was cold.

But, as the saying goes, March comes in like a lion. Well...the first was not a bad day (Scotty had some sun on his 2nd birthday). But we'd had snow every day last week...even on the 1st...just small amounts, the big fluffy flakes, not TOO much. Maybe an inch or two total. Scott left on Thursday for school and it's a good thing he did, because Friday was the wallop day! The Frankfurt airport had dozens of flights cancelled due to the weather. It snowed...all day...HARD. When all was said and done we had close to a foot on the ground. I expected the temperatures to immediately warm up and melt the snow. Or to follow the "norm" and rain after the snow. But no...here it is, Sunday, and there's still a ton of snow out there. They don't ask use to move our cars so they can clear the parking lots...so the lots are covered in snow. They don't shovel the walks...they use a mini "brush" and sweep it away...but it's piled up on either side, so now there are snowbanks trying to get TO the cars, meaning I have to lift the 42 pound Hannah over the banks otherwise, she'll be knee deep in them!
My van is the one in the middle at the bottom of the page!!!!

I suppose I shouldn't complain. But I think back to March in Georgia and can't help but wish for the warmth of the south once again!

You've got a bad snowfall there! Fortunately, there shouldn't be too many more.

You would think that coming from Northern Maine, that the little bit of snow you see wouldn't bother you LOL :)
