So far this week...

has been pretty good. Considering the fact that everyone's getting a wonderful spring cold (or getting over it, anyway.

Sunday was a sweet day at church. Hannah has been attending rehearsals for the chapel's Children's Choir. She was adamant that she would NOT get up in front of everyone and sing. She had only 5 rehearsals with them so I wasn't sure if she had learned the songs she needed to sing. She's really good at memorizing them when we play music in the car, but we never got a copy of the cd for the Children's Choir.

I did her hair up nicely, using the curling iron to put in a few long curls. She didn't like them and started to cry. We brushed them out and it was a bit better. She kept saying she wouldn't sing. When we got to the chapel, Ms. Heather (the choir director) saw her and just set her right into the group. Hannah wanted to sit next to her friend Taylor, which worked okay. She never had time to get worried or frightened.

By the time she realized what was happening, they were in the front of the chapel, singing a song called the Perfect 10 - The 10 Commandments (she probably knows them better than me!). While she didn't do the motions, she did sing the entire song. Then they were all given a palm branch and they sang Hosanna in the Highest. They split up in two groups, walked down the sides of the chapel and back up the middle aisle, all the while waving their palms. It was TOO precious. Luckily for me, my good friend Christy had the foresight to bring her camera (what kind of scrapbooker AM I????). She will pass on the pictures when she gets back from her vacation.

Monday was nice and mellow. We had to take Scotty to the clinic for a follow up after his visit to the Kinderklinik on Friday for his spiked fever and tonsillitis. He did fine, continue the antibiotics, etc and he'll be just fine. We are also lucky because, even though it is spring break here, the preschool is continuing throughout the week (YAY for me!)

Tuesday was another mellow day, just the kids playing around till school time, etc. Today was PICTURE DAY at school. They allow siblings, too. So I got Scotty dressed up in his dress slacks, shirt, vest and tie (gift from Aunties Sue and Donna) and Hannah wore a denim jumper (handed down from Jenna, I believe). The pictures are really cute. I get the package in about a week and a half and I'll scan them and post them.

Scott's just now getting what the kids and I have been dealing with for 2 weeks...poor him. It's just a bad time to get sick.

I know this is a boring post, but hey, my neck hurts and I'm tired...I'm going to take a nap!

I leave you with a very cute graphic - you can get these graphics for your blogs or signature lines at Glitter Graphics

I will be inspired by Hannah as *I* get in front of my church and join the choir this Sunday...(I don't sing outside of my car or the shower....for good reason) but my choir director husband sweet-talked me (sucker) into it....

loved those graphics.

I used to sing in our church choir as a child, but our kids never did. I hate that for them, as I think it is a great thing to help kids with stage fright.

Michele sent me.

Your little Hannah is a real trooper. She sounds so cute and I'll bet she has an amazing little voice. Really pulls on your heartstrings when they get through it just fine and you're so proud.
I love your blinky, it's amazing for a mom like me with three kids serving our country at the moment. By the way, you've been tagged. you're it!
