I'm so proud of my husband!

Wanna talk pride?

For those who don't know, my husband Scott is the conductor and commander of the 1st Infantry Division Band, The Big Red One. They had a welcome home ceremony in downtown Manhattan yesterday. Here are the links:

On this one, one of the soldiers (Hogan) is a trombone player in Scott's band, and Nadia Freeman is the wife of Scott's First Sergeant.

That is so cool!

I have to admit to ignorance, however. When I first read the headline, I thought "Why is her husband being interviewed in NYC when they live in the midwest?!"

Duh.

I thought NYC too, Linda. I am glad they got the welcome they deserve! Good for them!

Michele sent me.

Here from Michele.

Of course you MUST be proud. Always remembering our troops. I have heard the NAVY orchestra and band here in Norfolk. Wonderful!

I tried to comment before but it didn't show :(. Glad I came back to check.

Congrats to your husband. I love live music. You're so lucky!

Thanks by the way for stopping by. I love your scrapbook site by the way as I just started scrapping. I'm going to check back on that too! Cheers!
