Light bulbs and batteries

Moving is a pain in the backside...particularly from overseas. They don't pack or ship lightbulbs or batteries. So every lamp I own requires a new lightbulb.

And batteries...EVERY toy (or close to it) in both kids' toyboxes require batteries of some form. The movers won't pack toys with batteries. So I removed well over 100 batteries from toys. Now, of course, we are here with a bunch of toys just unpacked and kids wanting to play with them. AND...no batteries. My friend Nancy was the recipient of all the batteries (Christy, you got everything else, lol)

Batteries are NOT cheap. I need about a million double A, at least 100 C and a good dozen triple A...NOT pleasant for my wallet. Dollar Tree, here I come.

Those are things you really don't consider when you move. I hope you get settled in quickly. Best of luck. Michele sent me. Have a great weekend.

Is there a Dollar Tree nearby? You could totally stock up on both lightbulbs AND batteries there!

I buy my batteries in the GINORMOUS pack (like 30) for some ridiculous price at Target for like $7.00. Since you now live so close to one, try there, too....

I love Dollar stores. They rock!

That's funny...they've never said anything to us about taking batteries out of toys, we've always shipped toys with batteries in them! I agree with rennratt...make a run to the dollar tree (right next door to Hobby Lobby and if you happen to make a stop in there well that'd be a shame! LOL). No worries on the batteries...we've got tons of batteries!
