Sunday Bliss...

It's always nice to wake up and smell coffee brewing on a Sunday morning. This Sunday was different, though...

Since we've all been terribly under the weather with colds and viruses, our sleep patterns are disrupted and our appetites are quite screwed up.

But this Sunday, Scott and Hannah left early in the morning and headed to Daylight Donuts to get a special Sunday treat for us. As they left, I started the coffee brewing. Soon they returned with yummy donuts. While not as good as Dunkin' Donuts (my preferred brand), they are pretty darned close. It is truly a special treat to eat donuts, since we are on perpetual diets; with my cholesterol being high (recently diagnosed), I've been avoiding all the good things in life! So...the very special treat.



Scott got Long Johns (long rectangle donuts) for the kids and jelly donuts for me...and a variety of others. Scott, Hannah and I tucked in right away, but for one little boy, bliss would come later, as he was still sleeping.

Soon enough, though...he woke up. He made short work of his Long John and set upon a glazed donut.




That was more than enough, although he asked for more! Sometimes, you gotta indulge!
