I am sending these out today for my mom and MIL. I hope they like them!
The candles were easy to make - print pictures on tissue paper (you have to tape it to a piece of cardstock, all the way around, for best printing), and then place them on a pillar candle. Using a craft heat gun, heat the pictures until the wax shines through the photo. Be careful, as the wax often melts below the photo and runs out...it's okay, though, because it gives texture to the candle. I also printed words and cut them out and put them on the candle. I then took ribbon with slide letters (thanks for these, Suzanne, see...I put them to good use!), and using a large brad, secured them right to the candle at the top. One candle says CHERISH, the other says LOVE. They are otherwise identical.
The canvases took a bit more time. I painted them with MM paints. I used Bazzill scalloped paper and inked the edges. I used ribbon buckles from Queen & Co and ribbon from American Crafts. The flowers are Prima flowers. The chipboard letters are Basic Grey and Stampin' Up (didn't have enough of one brand, lol). There's a bunch of other stuff that I don't feel like digging up the brands for. When everything was secure, I mod-podged everything twice. These can be framed, or just propped on stands. Each has a little poem on it:
Grandma, you are so special,
You make US feel special too!
So this is the reason why,
We say that we LOVE you!
The one for my mom says Memere, since that is what my kids call her.
I hope my mom and MIL like them. I really enjoyed working on these!!!

You talents amaze me! I bet your mother and MIL will love them.
I had heard (don't know if true or not) that you cannot light the candles with any additional ink on them. Ink makes them a fire hazard.
But they are BEAUTIFUL!! Great work, Linda.
Oh Linda, what lovely lovely gifts!!! I know they will love them. I also wanted to thank you for the sweet comments you always leave me!!! I love ya girlie!!!!
Those are adorable!
I'm guessing they can't be used, huh?
Ahhh, what special gifts! I missed these! So glad you posted a link so I could see them! I'll bet they LOVED them!
I made a canvas for hubby this year as a Christmas gift. I was FUN! Love yours - very cool. I've tried candles before but not like that - I like that idea....
