Variations on a theme...

Charmaine over at Oodabug Alley made a very beautiful "back to basics" card using my new favorite stamp set, Serenity, from Verve Visual. I copied her card very closely, and liked it so much I decided to run with the colors.

This is actually a 4"x6" frame. It isn't a card. I will be gifting this to someone. I will be making more. I have another one, very pretty, in the same style, but using other stamps from Serenity. I can't show that one, because I am gifting that to someone and I don't want her to see it here first, lol!

But here's the newest creation:

I used Cool Caribbean, Basic Black and Bright White Cardstock. The patterned paper is DCWV. Inks are Cool Caribbean and Basic Black. Distressing ink is Colorbox Charcoal Black. Flowers, leaves and ribbon are all Prima, Inc. This is a "frameless" frame, so the little tabs you see are the metal tabs that hold the frame together.

very pretty.
You're so brave to use colors like that. I am completely chromophobic. Doesn't stop me from buying it though.

That is really nice. I'd happily place that on my wall or on my desk to view daily.
