I got spoiled today.
I got donuts for breakfast (and believe me, that's a BIG deal in this house, since there aren't many donut places (read: ONE) and you have to get out early in order to snag a box of "good ones").
I got hugs and kisses and lovin' from the kiddos. I got a "hello, don't get to close, I think I have pink eye" from my hubby (poor guy!).
I got a nice cup of coffee...and gifts.
I got a one hour "full-body" massage from the place right near us - good place, they do my hair, and I had given Scott a massage from there and he liked it!
I got this:
from the kiddos...in case you can't figure it out, it's called a Reed Diffuser...I got White Pomegranate fragrance, and now my kitchen smells LOVELY!
I got a fingerprint poem from Hannah, and a homemade card, and a kitchen towel with her handprint on it (not ever going to be used for the original and intended purpose, of course!). And later on, at church, I got a beautiful handmade keytag with Proverbs 31:30 (from The Message Bible) "Charm can mislead and beauty soon fades. The woman to be admired and praised is the woman who lives in the fear of the Lord." What's nice about it is that it was handmade by the Women's Ministry Team (I am a part of it, but was unable to go when they were making them, as I had a previous commitment that evening)...and I can make other "scraps" to put into it...I can put my kids pictures in it....and it was given to ALL women, not just moms.
I also got a basket of candy "made" by Scotty during children's church...and Hannah made me a cute little flower basket magnet during her children's church, too.
The kids are out playing, we're having pizza for supper (would have gone out for Mexican, but Scott's eye....), and I'm going to watch Deadliest Catch at 5:00 p.m.
Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there...and those who are longing for motherhood, and those who aren't ready for motherhood...
Remember - Mother's Day is 100 years old today!
