I rarely wax political...

on this blog...

BUT...early this morning (due to having to get Hannah up to the bus stop before 6:30 a.m., I am up early EVERY morning now...and most of you KNOW I'm not a morning person), I was watching live coverage of Obama's press conference in London, with their Prime Minister.

And I was APPALLED. Obama just sealed his "teleprompter" addiction. I came into the speech a little late, but there were so many "uhs" uttered within a few moments, I had flashbacks to 8th grade Social Studies with Mr. McLaughlin (Sandy, if you're reading this, I don't mean to insult your dad!)...we once counted 562 "uhs" in a 40 minute class. But Obama could seriously give Mr. M a run for his money!

And Obama spoke slowly. I know he was likely trying to gather his thoughts...or perhaps speak concisely...but either way, he did not look very bright or well-spoken. His teleprompter reliance truly showed here...and the fact that he had to speak off the cuff didn't help, I'm guessing.

So, there you have it. My politics are showing...and I need to pull them up and move on.

Yep, it is kind of embarrassing. And to think he was elected (mostly) for his amazing oratory skills...ha! What a sham.

LOL! That is one of my big problems if I speak in public are the annoying "UHs" I wonder how to stop that? Sometimes I do it without thinking LOL! You are right though this shouldn't be coming from someone as influential as a President. Isn't that what speech class is for? and I am sure with the kind of money this man has it wouldn't hurt to hire an expert in that area of expertise.HUGS!
