It's been a LONG time since I've participated in Carmi's Thematic Photographic over at Written, Inc.
This week, his theme is Reflective. And for the first time, I actually went out and shot something after he posted it. I did have something in my collection that would fit, but I saw a beautiful Koi Pond at Virginia Hylton Park and decided to photograph it. This shot was taken early in the morning (around 9:30 a.m.) While it was a rather breezy morning, the canopy of trees seemed to dull the wind enough to get a calm surface and allow for a great mirror. I'm working on framing my shots a bit. Hope you like it!

I love it - it really does look like a mirror.
That's so beautiful..
my husband is one of the PAO guys and always does the pictures.. he said he needs to take some lessons from you :)
Hi Linda:
I just got my camera. Is there an easy way to take a picture of a flower and keep the background blurry? I'm not taking all my lenses, just the one that came with the camera.
How is Scotty's foot? Is he walking on it OK?
Thanks,
Laurie
Nice picture!
Nice photo, Linda!
I think your picture is gorgeous.
Is that park in Lexington?
I'm a fellow 282nd band wife. I've enjoyed reading your blog, and I hope you're feeling a bit more "at home" here, at least as much as that's possible at this point.
As always!! Beautiful!!
Oh wow! I really do like it! You've really done an amazing job. This photo is stunning. Wonderful job for Carmi's reflective challenge!
I played along too albeit a bit too late. I like my photo so I decided to post it anyway.
And if you have a chance could you please stop by Sweetanlo's Reflective Post
She has an amazing reflective photo posted and is afraid that no one will see it since she posted so late.
It really is a great photo and ok I'm biased but it really is. ;-)
How beautiful! It looks so peaceful! Thanks for visiting my blog.
