It starts today...

My quest to read the bible in a year.

I'm going to try to post weekly, the readings I am doing. As I stated in my earlier post, I am using the bible reading guide from WMHK. If you've downloaded it, you can follow along, if not, you can use this weekly listing to follow. I do hope some of you are up to the challenge.

I'm also going to be journaling about it. After thinking about it for a long time, I decided that I am going to start a blog, a private one, to journal. I do not like manual writing, my hand writing is horrible and I hate even trying anymore, so I'm going to do what is easier for me, and type it out. What will I be journaling? I'll journal what I read, what I think the writer was trying to say, and what it means to me...what relevance it has in my life today.

So, weekly reading this week:

Monday - Genesis 1-3, Proverbs 1:1-7
Tuesday - Genesis 4-6, Proverbs 1:8-19
Wednesday - Genesis 7-9, Proverbs 1:20-33
Thursday - Genesis 10-12, Proverbs 2:1-11
Friday - Matthew 1-6, Proverbs 2:12-22
Saturday - Psalms 1-2
Sunday - Genesis 13-15, Proverbs 3:1-10

Good luck to all of you who are desiring to do this with me! Keep me posted...keep me accountable!

I wish I could do this....I'm going to TRY...I feel un-faithful for even saying this aloud, but I have a tendency to shove my prayer life aside for the business of being a Mom and wife. I would probably BE a much better wife and mom if I committed myself to rigorous daily prayer and reading of the good book. So I'm going to TRY.
And I commend you for doing this....

Tony is doing part of this with me. At night right before bed, we are reading the Proverbs together, and comparing notes from our study Bibles. We started last night. It helped to rest our minds, as well as give us some of that 20 minute together time.
