Black-eyed Pea(nut)

LOCATION:

Downstairs office/craft room/play room.

PLAYERS:

Hannah (aka Peanut), 5 1/2 and Scotty, 2 1/2

PROPS: Toys scattered about the room, a bean-bag chair, and a small boy's favorite blue blanket

SCENE: Video is playing, Hannah's sitting on the beanbag chair, Scotty's got his blanket over his head, and decides to play ghost. Mommy and Daddy are upstairs in the living room

and...ACTION! (picture the wooden arm coming down)

Scotty gets up and rams into Hannah...who is conveniently his height. He rams HEAD FIRST, into Hannah's face, hitting her just below the left eye.

(a piercing scream rings out! immediately follows a "I towwy, Hannah" which translates to I'm sorry).

Mom RUSHES downstairs and is told about Scotty playing ghost. Mommy comforts Hannah, checking out the eye. She sees a small bump under the corner, right near the eye socket, but it's nothing to worry about.

THE NEXT DAY:

Black-eyed Peanut. It's gotten a bit worse today, darker and more colorful...but man, oh man, is this little girl PROUD that she has a shiner!!!

Oh! Did she have to go to school with a black eye?

Can you imagine the look on her teachers' face when she said 'My little brother did it. He was being a ghost.'

Ha!

LOL! Ahh nothing like those first black eyes! Jacob was 2, he fell off his bike! Jack was 2 also, but happened at the park! LOL

Just love those black eyes. Good for Hannah being proud of her badge of courage.
